The ditch on the north side of Route 64 before the new pipes and inlets are installed.
The ditch has been prepared and a rock bed placed for the new pipes.
One of the new pipes is moved into place.
The pipes are placed in the flowline of the ditch.
The pipes are set and banded together.
The first inlet is placed to catch surface water.
The frames and grates are installed on the inlets.
The stone backfill is placed along the pipe.
Dirt is hauled in and graded with a bulldozer. After the other 4 sections are filled in, the fresh dirt will be fine graded and seeded.
The new dirt is regraded after the heavy rains and prepared for seeding.
After fertilizing and seeding, erosion control blankets are placed on the new ditches.
The ditches are finished. Now we wait for the grass to grow.
The grass is well-established. The project is turned back over to IDOT for future maintenance.
