Geographic Information Systems

The Ogle County GIS Partnership is looking for a GIS Intern.  As an intern, you will be using ESRI's ArcMap 10.x or ArcGIS Pro 2.x and Arc Online to create and maintain digital data layers as well as design map projects, including Story Maps, upon request.  There may be opportunities for fieldwork using Trimble GPS equipment and/or Arc Collector and Survey 123. You will also be mapping historical abstracts so a knowledge of the public land survey system would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be a student currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or Urban Planning.

This is an unpaid internship and the intern is expected to work two days per week, flexible hours, and  must coincide with a semester in which you have enrolled in an internship course.

The Partnership is committed to providing responsive, accurate information and data to our Partnership members, website subscribers, and Ogle County residents.

We are located in the Ogle County Courthouse in Oregon, IL.
