Assistant Public Defender  
The Ogle County Public Defender’s Office is seeking a candidate to fill a FULL-TIME position as an assistant public defender. APDs assist with traffic, abuse/neglect, misdemeanor, felony, and/or delinquency cases. Salary and compensation package is commensurate with experience, and includes insurance, paid time off, and participation in IMRF. The Office provides on-site and ongoing training, encourages work-life balance, and fosters relationships with other members of the legal community.

  • Qualifications:  Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree and have a current license to practice law in the State of Illinois. 
  • Experience:  0-3 years, 3-5 years
  • Salary:  $50,000+
